We began the Season of Advent, the four weeks before Christmas which is a time for preparing our hearts and lives for celebrating Christ's birth on November 29 with the sermon series "Christmas Gifts."

December 13 - "Christmas Gifts: Joy through Times of Sorrow"
December 20 - "Christmas Gifts: Love for All Times" -
Please note this is also our Children's program Sunday when we will hear anew the Christmas Story.

During this season, I hope you will join us in worship as we consider the great gifts of Christmas - gifts that come to us from the heart of God. Join us as we prepare to open wide our hearts to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child at our 7:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Worship.

Here is the Steeple...

We move in the hope... that God will provide us with light according to our need, guidance according to the demands of the time, and strength to the requirements of every situation. Our hope is that we may keep ourselves enough out of the way that God can move in and find us useable instruments for doing [God's] will. --Fred Hoskins, "A Union of Hope," Uniting General Synod, 1957
